Gov, Aliyu Charges Graduated Police  Recruit Constables To Uphold The Ethics And Values Of The Force

Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has enjoined the newly graduated recruit constables from the Police Training School in Sokoto to always uphold the ethics and values of the Force.

He made this plea at the passing-out parade of the 2022/2023 recruit constables held at the Police Training School, Farfaru area, Sokoto.

The Governor also stressed the need for them to be guided by integrity, fairness, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu said that, as police officers, they are expected to shun all forms of corruption, indiscipline, and misconduct, and to be impartial, just, and humane in their dealings with members of the public.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continue providing the necessary support to the police and other security agencies to ensure they have the tools required to effectively safeguard lives and property across the state.

The Governor, who spoke through his Deputy, Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, congratulated the new police officers on their successful passing out and urged them to serve the country with courage, honor, and integrity.

In his address, the Inspector General of Police, represented by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 10, AIG Gyogon A. Grimah, appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 30,000 police constables across the country.

He noted that the gesture reflects the President's commitment, under his Renewed Hope Agenda, to improving the security of lives and property across the nation.

Earlier, the Commandant of the Police Training School, ACP M.K. Haruna, disclosed that 483 police constables who underwent intensive training had successfully passed out.

He stated that the new recruits were drawn from Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States.
