The Management of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA), led by Chairman Alhaji Aliyu Musa, has initiated an enlightenment drive targeting prominent Islamic scholars across Sokoto State, seeking their support and prayers for the success of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The visit by the Agency's management was aimed at briefing the Islamic scholars on the new Hajj Registration policy and emphasizing the December 25, 2025, deadline for payment of Hajj fares for prospective pilgrims from Sokoto State.

Alhaji Aliyu Musa appealed to the scholars to utilize the Jumuat Khutbah (Friday sermon) to educate and enlighten their congregations about the Hajj process and the importance of adhering to the stipulated payment deadline.

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency met with esteemed Imams including Imam Dabagin Ardo, Imam Dr. Mamuda Dangogo, and Imam Mallam Nura Hausare.

The Imams pledged to pray for the success of the 2026 Hajj exercise and to enlighten their congregations during Friday prayers, supporting the Agency's efforts to ensure a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Hajj for pilgrims from Sokoto State.

The Agency appreciates the cooperation and support of the Islamic scholars and looks forward to their continued partnership in facilitating a successful Hajj operation.
