Legislative Service Commission Organises In- House Training For Staff

Gbenga Oloniyo. Kaduna 

The Kaduna State Legislative Service Commission, in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service in the State, had organised a One Day In-House training for legislative arm of government staff of the Kaduna State House of Assembly 

The training, which took place at the Lugard Hall Complex Kaduna, was attended by participants drawn from various departments of the assembly. Also, in attendance were senior directors from within and outside the Commission

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Commission, Rt. Hon Nuhu Goroh Shadalafia has applauded the State governor, Sen Uba Sani, for his commitment to good governance and for  granting the Commission members the privilege to serve the State 

According to Shadalafiya, the in-house training on 'Ethnics and Disciplinary Procedures in the Civil Service' was organised for staff of the Kaduna State House of Assembly 

He further expressed appreciation to the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Liman Dahiru, for what he described as his 'unwavering commitment to capacity building and institutional growth.' 

The Chairman of the Legislative Service Commission, Shadalafiya, also lauded the Head of Service, Mrs. Grace Bako and her team  for their collaboration and support in making the training a reality, stressing that their dedication to strengthening the civil service remained commendable 

Furthermore, Shadalafiya urged the participants to maximise the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, particularly in upholding ethical standards and maintaining professionalism. 

He expressed optimism that the training would not only deepen the participants' understanding of civil service ethics but also strengthen their collective resolve to serve Kaduna State with excellence and integrity. Shadalafiya said 

A participant, Mr Nicodemus Baba-Bako, who spoke on behalf of the participants, said the training has further broading the knowledge of the participants, particularly on ethics of civil service 

" This programme is laudable and am so delighted to be among the participants. Am so impressed because this is the first of it kind for almost 25 years "

" This training has taught us what we do not know about civil service, especially on discipline and ethics "
