Senator Wamakko Empowerment Initiative Extends Beyond His Senatorial District

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, representing Sokoto North Senatorial District has extended his empowerment initiative beyond his senatorial district to the seven Local Government Areas of Sokoto South Senatorial District.

This initiative includes the provision of motorcycles, water pumping machines, grinding machines, and an assorted food items aimed at improving the livelihoods of local residents.

The distribution event  at Bodinga local Goverment area which served as the launch center for this extensive program, targeting beneficiaries from the Tambuwal, Kebbe, Shagari, Yabo, Tureta, Bodinga, and Dange Shuni Local Government Areas. 

Notably, this initiative is part of Wamakko's ongoing efforts to bolster grassroots development and aid those living beyond his immediate constituency.

Representing Senator Wamakko, Alhaji Nasiru Italy highlighted that this program continues the senator's previous outreach efforts in the Central Zone, reinforcing his commitment to supporting the well-being of the people in the region. 

During the flag-off ceremony, the Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, commended Senator Wamakko for his benevolent initiative, noting that such an extensive distribution had not been seen in the area for the past two years. 

He also recognized the ongoing projects spearheaded by the Ahmed Aliyu-led administration, acknowledging the collaborative efforts to enhance community resources.

Several prominent figures attended the event, including Members of the state Assembly from Yabo Constituency,  Abubakar Shehu Shamaki Yabo, Sabon Birni North, Almustapha Aminu Boza, ALGON Chairman Abba Shehu Tambuwal, Dange shuni local government chairman, Aminu Magaji Bodai and APC Chairman of Shagari Local Government, Abubakar Umar Yabo. 

The Deputy National Youth Leader of the APC, Jamaludeen Kabir, was also present. Each speaker praised the initiative, describing it as commendable and essential for uplifting the community.

At the event, speakers unanimously encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the distributed items judiciously, emphasizing the importance of ongoing support for Senator Wamakko and the current administration. 

They urged APC supporters to maintain patience and reiterated that every citizen deserves attention and assistance from the government.

Expressions of gratitude filled the atmosphere as beneficiaries, including men, women, and local government social media coordinators, acknowledged the senator's charitable gesture. 

They conveyed their hopes that such initiatives would persist, emphasizing the significance of continued support for the local community.

This latest initiative by Senator Wamakko underscores not only his dedication to grassroots development but also highlights the importance of political leaders engaging with their constituents to foster lasting change in the region.

Other important personalities that graced the historic event, include, Members of the House of Assembly from Sokoto South 1 and 2 Aminu Gidado Jegawa, Almustapha Abdullahi, Shamsu Aliyu from Wurno Constituency, Harisu kuchi from Kebbe Constituency, and Sirajo Muhammad from Dange Shuni Constituency.
Others are traditional rulers ulama, and other political bigwig in the state.
