Sokoto CP Presents Over N21M Cheques To The Families Of Late Police Officers
The Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Police Command, CP Ahmed Musa, psc, on Friday, 17th October 2025,along side his management team presented cheques worth twenty-one million, three hundred and thirty thousand, sixty two naira, eighty kobo (₦21,330,062.80k) to thirty (30) families of police officers who died in active service and Sustain injuries in the course of discharging their duties.
These disbursements are part of the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes aimed at supporting the families of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The Commissioner of Police commended the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, for his unwavering commitment, kindness, and continuous support towards the welfare of police officers and their families.
He noted that the IGP’s leadership and dedication to improving police welfare are commendable, as these efforts enhance performance, morale, and the overall well-being of officers.
He further emphasised that the IGP’s kindness and generosity have brought immense joy and relief to many families, while praying that God blesses and guides the IGP as he continues to touch the lives of officers and their loved ones.
CP Musa advised the beneficiaries to use the money wisely by investing in ventures that will benefit their families in the long run.
He urged them to utilise the funds responsibly and thoughtfully, considering their financial goals, needs, and priorities.
Reacting on behalf of the beneficiaries, Abdulrahaman Bello, son of one of the deceased officers, expressed his profound gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, for his kindness and generosity towards them.
