Sokoto PWA Chairman Appreciates President Tinubu For Reducing 2026 Hajj Fares
The Chairman of Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA), Alhaji Aliyu Musa, extends heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for directing a reduction in the 2026 Hajj fare. This thoughtful and timely intervention is a welcome development that will significantly benefit Muslim pilgrims from Sokoto State and Nigeria at large.
"We are deeply grateful to President Tinubu for his compassionate response to the aspirations of Nigerian Muslims wishing to perform the sacred Hajj," said Alhaji Aliyu Musa.
"This directive reflects the President's commitment to the welfare and spiritual growth of our citizens, and we commend his leadership in this regard."
The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency applauds the swift action taken by Vice President Kashim Shettima in conveying the President's directive and instructing the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to implement new, more affordable fares within two days.
"We believe this reduction in Hajj fare will enhance accessibility to this important pillar of Islam for many faithful Muslims in Sokoto State and across Nigeria," Alhaji Aliyu Musa added.
The Agency looks forward to collaborating with NAHCON and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth, successful, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj exercise for all Nigerian pilgrims.
