Sokoto PWA Chairman Paid A Familiarisation Visit To ICPC Sokoto Office

The Chairman of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, led a delegation of senior officials on a familiarisation visit to the ICPC Sokoto State Office.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the already established synergy between the two institutions and identifying areas of possible collaboration in promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct, particularly in the management of Hajj operations.

In his remarks, Alhaji Aliyu Musa commended the ICPC for its continuous efforts in curbing corruption through preventive measures and public enlightenment.

He noted that the Pilgrims Welfare Board shares similar values with the Commission in ensuring integrity and efficiency in service delivery to intending pilgrims.

Receiving the delegation, the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Mr. Shintema P. Binga, welcomed the visitors and expressed appreciation for the gesture.

He stated that the familiarisation visit was a clear demonstration of the Agency’s commitment to transparency and good governance.

Mr. Binga further assured the Chairman of ICPC’s readiness to support the Agency through capacity building, ethics training, and sensitisation programmes aimed at strengthening institutional integrity and public trust.

The visit ended on a positive note, with both organisations pledging to deepen collaboration in areas of mutual interest to promote accountability and enhance the delivery of public service in Sokoto State.
