One hundred young people undergoing training in solar photovoltaic technology have expressed deep appreciation to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for his unwavering commitment to youth development in Sokoto State.

The participants pledged to effectively utilise the start-up tokens that will be provided at the end of the program.

As the demand for vocational skills and employment opportunities among youth continues to rise, Senator Wamakko has remained dedicated to ensuring that young people have access to sustainable means of livelihood through various empowerment initiatives. Recently, he distributed empowerment items such as motorcycles and food supplies to local youth.

The selected trainees for the solar energy installation and maintenance program were carefully chosen from eight local government areas within the Sokoto North Senatorial District. One training facilitator commended the participants for their quick understanding of the training modules and praised Senator Wamakko for addressing youth unemployment and providing job opportunities.

Participants expressed optimism about acquiring skills in solar installation and maintenance, emphasising their gratitude to Senator Wamakko for enabling them to become self-reliant.

They also shared insights into key components of solar technology that they have begun to master during the training.

During the flag-off ceremony, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Alhaji Mustafa Alkali Abubakar, announced that all participants would receive complete working kits and start-up tokens from Senator Wamakko to ensure they can commence their businesses immediately after the training.
