DOGONDAJI GENERAL HOSPITAL: Undergoes Major Rehabilitation To Boost Healthcare In  Tambuwal Local Government Area.

The Dogondaji General Hospital in Tambuwal Local Government Area is currently undergoing total rehabilitation by the Sokoto State Government under the able leadership of Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, PhD. 

The project stands as a strong example of the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery, especially for people in rural areas.
The hospital, one of the oldest in the area, is one of the several general hospitals being upgraded to meet modern healthcare standards. 

When completed, it will provide better facilities for patients, improve working conditions for medical staff, and expand access to essential medical services for residents of Dogondaji and neighboring communities.

During the inspection visit by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sokoto State Council, the team observed with admiration the progress on the project and described it as a major milestone in the Governor’s ongoing drive to ensure every citizen benefits from the dividends of democracy.
Receiving the NUJ delegation, Honourable Abba Shehu, Chairman of Tambuwal Local Government and Chairman of ALGON, Sokoto State Chapter, commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his dedication to the development of all parts of the state.
 He explained that the rehabilitation of Dogondaji General Hospital is part of the Governor’s broader effort to strengthen the health sector and improve the living conditions of the people.

Hon. Abba Shehu also highlighted other projects being executed by Ahmed Aliyu led administration to include the construction and rehabilitation of rural roads, educational infrastructure, and empowerment programs aimed at supporting youth and women.
The Abba Shehu led  council has also initiated several projects that include renovation and construction of jumuat mosques for five daily prayer and jumuat mosques across villages like Bancho.Other projects carried out by the chairman were concrete drifts,reactivation of water boreholes, provision of street lights, across the local government area as well as support to security outfits, and making schools conducive for learning among others.

The NUJ team commended the attempts by both state government and local council as welcome development which   reflects the inclusive leadership style of Governor Ahmed Aliyu, whose administration has prioritized development that touches the daily lives of citizens.

The rehabilitation of Dogondaji General Hospital and other projects across Tambuwal are practical signs of good governance in action  focused, accountable, and people-centered.
