Zamfara APC Uncovers Plan By PDP To Disrupt Matawalle Visit To Zamfara State

The Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has alleged that, the ruling party in the state, Peoples Democratic Party PDP has made a plan to disrupt the Minister for Defence State Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle visit to Zamfara State.
The allegation was made known today by the APC publicity secretary Yusuf Idris Gusau while briefing newsmen at the state party Secretariat saying that, the Minister who planned to enter Zamfara scheduled on Thursday, was calculated to disrupt the visit by the PDP through the use of thugs.
He said, It is already a well publicized information that the Zamfara State chapter of the APC has concluded arrangement to receive its leader, immediate past governor of the state and current Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle on his home coming to meet with APC leaders, members, supporters, admirers, his friends and relations both in Gusau, the state capital and in his hometown Maradun.
According to him, the information of the Minister’s visit was made via a press release from the state headquarters of the party which was signed by himself as the state Publicity Secretary of the party.
He also said, the party leaders had in it’s earlier briefing called for the full cooperation of security agencies in the state to render their assistance and also cautioned all the party members against carrying any type of weapon throughout the Minister’s visit and beyond, to ensure adherence to law and order and a smooth successful outing.
“Unfortunately, we have received credible information that the ruling PDP in the state has hatched a destructive plan that will do no good to anyone.
He alleged that, the PDP and its government agents met in the Government House, Gusau to draw up the dastardly plan of using its thugs disguised as APC supporters with the sole aim under the directives of their paymasters to disrupt the APC gatherings wherever they may hold, right from the beginning of the visit to the end.
“Having busted their evil plans therefore, they may have plans ‘b’ and ‘c,’ which is why as law abiding citizens who have no government in power, we are still appealing and urging security agencies in the state to be cautious and watchful in and at every step of our activities especially as concerns the Honourable Minister’s visit to the state starting this Thursday.
“We also have information that they will station some gun wielding thugs (we have reported several cases of their trigger happy thugs) who will shoot at random on our motorcade around Tsafe and while on our way to Maradun.
“Whatever the case may be, the security agencies should take note of this ever deviant defiant development and act appropriately.
“On our part, we have charged our ever law abiding youth and other supporters to be on the lookout for any suspicious movement, get hold of anyone they know is not our member and immediately hand him over to security personnel attached to cover the activities.
The APC Publicity Secretary further accused the PDP of been making frantic effort to paint the APC black and hiding under such diversionary ways to cover their failures in meeting the expectations of the electorate.
No doubt, many members of this so-called ruling party in the state, both high and low, have been defecting to the APC, the latest of which is one of their ardent members and campaign sponsors, Alhaji Bashir Adamu Imad who just formally joined the winning party, APC,” Idris Concluded
