KDHA Passes 2026 Budget into Law

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has passed the 2026 Appropriation Bill into law, following its consideration and adoption at the plenary session held on Tuesday
The session was presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, who announced the passage prior to the lawmakers, unanimously adopted the report of the House Committee on Appropriations and Implementation
Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Shehu Pambegwa presented the report on the Bill for the Appropriation of Funds for the State's 2026 fiscal year on the floor of the House
The approved budget stands at ₦985,915,136,574.60 (Nine Hundred and Eighty-Five Billion, Nine Hundred and Fifteen Million, One Hundred and Thirty-Six Thousand, Five Hundred and Seventy-Four Naira, Sixty Kobo)
According to the Speaker, the 2026 budget is aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, inclusive governance, and improved service delivery across all sectors of the State
He further urged the people of Kaduna State to continue supporting the administration of Governor Uba Sani as the implementation of the 2026 budget begins
The Speaker reaffirmed the resolve of the Kaduna State House of Assembly to continue working towards the unity, progress, and prosperity of the state for the benefit of present and future generations
It could be recalled that the State governor, Sen Uba Sani had on Monday 1st December 2025 presented the proposed N985.9 billion 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Kaduna State House of Assembly
