KSG Distributes N10.4 Million In Rent And Transport Support to Residents Of Forestry Two Staff Quarters

The Kebbi State Government, through the Ministry of Environment, has disbursed N10.4 million in financial assistance to occupants of the Forestry Two Quarters in Bulasa, Birnin Kebbi.
The support aims to help residents meet their rental obligations and cover transportation costs as they prepare to relocate.
The quarters are scheduled for renovation and conversion into a security base.
Speaking during the distribution exercise on Saturday, the Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Muhammad Musa Tungulawa, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, TPL Abubakar Ahmed, explained the details of the intervention while addressing the beneficiaries.
He said: “We have 14 occupants who are to benefit from this financial assistance. You will recall that two weeks ago, you were served with a vacation notice that will elapse on 25 December 2025, giving you one full month to relocate.”
Tungulawa noted that the intervention followed an appeal from the occupants, many of whom are retirees, to Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu.
The governor graciously approved the support and directed the ministry to ensure prompt delivery.
He further outlined the approved amounts ' Occupants of three-bedroom units will receive ₦750,000 for rent and ₦250,000 for transport.
' Occupants of two-bedroom units will get ₦500,000 for rent and ₦200,000 for transport.
Occupants of the boys’ quarters will receive ₦500,000 and ₦100,000 for transport.
'In total, four staff in three-bedroom flats received ₦1 million each, four staff in two-bedroom flats received ₦700,000 each, and six staff in boys’ quarters received ₦600,000 each'.
The Commissioner expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for his compassionate and timely support to the affected residents.
