Senator Wamakko Attends Today's Plenary, Support And Amended A Motion To Empower Farmers Against Post -Harvest Lost.

His Excellency Senator Aliyu M Wamakko participated in today's plenary session and contributed robustly a motion sponsored by Senator Muhammed Danjuma Goje on the Need to address the falling prices of Agricultural produce in relation to the very high cost of farm inputs which poses a problem to the livelihood of millions of Nigerian farmers.

In his contribute to the motion, Senator Wamakko commended the Federal Government's efforts to reduce food costs through import waivers and special permissions. 
However, he emphasized that the prices of essential inputs like fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides remain extremely high  presenting a serious ongoing challenge for the agricultural sector.
To address these changes, Senator Aliyu Wamakko moved a motion for amendment of  earlier prayers against setting up of price controls board and rather allowed market forces to determine the prices of goods and bring profitability to Farmers which was adopted by the Senate.
