SOHA DEBATES ON 2026 BUDGET

Lawmakers in the Sokoto State House of Assembly have debated on the 2026 budget. 

First to debated on the budget was the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Kabiru Ibrahim Kware who hailed governor Ahmad Aliyu for his giant stride in presenting the budget. 

Also debating on the budget, member Representing yabo Constituency, Hon. Abubakar Shamaki hailed the Governor for implementing 65% in the year 2025 budget. 

He also commended him on the security issues, adding that the Governor is concerned in security challenges areas. 

He said he is optimistic, the Governor have good intention in the 2026 budget. To Hon. Mustapha Abdullahi Dust, 'we have to pat Governor Ahmad Aliyu on the back due to his execellent presentation of the 2026 budget before the House.' he said the Governor has achieved alot in the provision of social amenities particularly in health sector as most of the hospitals  will be completed in the forth coming fiscal year Hon. Tukur Umar who Represents Binji Constituency said while debating on the budget that 'it becomes imperative for us to applaud the governor especially in the area of security'. 

He also cited provision of water and rural roads as some of giantefforts to be executed in the next years budget as made known by the Governor during the presentation Hon Sirajo Abdulkarim Danjuma Representing Illela described the Governor as workaholic and experienced personality worthy for commendation. 

Member Representing Sokoto North 1 Constituency Hon Buhari Haliru prayed for the huge success of the 2026 budget and hailed the Governor for his desire to complete abundant projects particulary in the health sector next year. 

To Hon Yahaya Ahmadu Member representing Gudu said the budget almost touches on all aspects of life. Other Lawmakers also debated on the budget.
