SUBEB Chairman  Vows To Explore New Modern Strategies To Advance Basic Education In Sokoto State

In recognition of his commitment to ensuring the full realization of Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto’s vision to improve education across Sokoto State, the Executive Chairman of the Sokoto State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Umar Nagwari Tambuwal, attended the 2025 Nigeria Education Forum themed “Pathways to Education Financing: Developing Synergy Between the Town and Gown in Nigeria.”

 The purpose of his participation is to explore new, modern strategies aimed at advancing basic education in Sokoto State.

The Forum, organized by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), is taking place at the Borno State from the 10th to 11th of December, 2025.
The Executive Chairman, Alhaji Umar Nagwari Tambuwal an experienced and longstanding professional in the field of primary education, participated actively in the discussions. 

He made meaningful contributions and offered deep insights aimed at strengthening mechanisms for efficient education financing and enhancing collaboration between government agencies and education experts.

The Forum brought together all 36 SUBEB Chairmen from across the country, alongside top policymakers, development partners, and education specialists, to deliberate on innovative strategies that will ensure sustainable funding for education in Nigeria.

His participation affirms the commitment of the Sokoto State Government, under the leadership of Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, to continue improving primary education and aligning its programmes with national efforts to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

We look forward to his return upon the completion of the Forum.
