Wedding Fatiha: Gov. Aliyu Represents Six Families, Gives Their Daughters’ Hands in Marriage

Governor Ahmed Aliyu has given out the hands of six brides RDT Rukayya Bamaiyi, BM Aisha Musa Dallatu, Hawwa'u Kasimu Dogon Daji, Sa'adatu Bature Binji, Balkisu Almustafa Yari, and RCM Aisha Abdullahi Tsamaye in marriage to their respective grooms: Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Dadi Adare, Abdulaziz Ibrahim Dadi Adare, Ahmed Bello, Engr. Mohamed Almustafa Yari, Yahaya Abubakar Chika, and Abubakar Muhammad Gangara.

Governor Aliyu stood in as the representative for the six brides, while Sokoto State Deputy Governor Idris Muhammed Gobir; Speaker, Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga; former Deputy Governor, Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo; Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa; Chief of Staff, Government House Sokoto, Aminu Haliru Dikko, mni; and Deputy Speaker, Kabir Ibrahim Kware represented the families of the six grooms.
The Wedding Fatiha was officiated by the Sarkin Malaman Sokoto, Sheikh Yahaya Na Malam Boyi, following the payment of N200,000 bride price for five of the brides and N100,000 for one bride.

Speaking shortly after the ceremony, Governor Aliyu urged the newlyweds to remain faithful to one another, embracing patience and tolerance as guiding principles in their marital journey. 
He cautioned them against allowing third-party interference during misunderstandings and encouraged dialogue as the best path to conflict resolution.

“The secret of any successful marriage is patience, tolerance, and dialogue between husband and wife,” he stated.

The Governor prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the unions and wished all the couples a happy and prosperous married life.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Sokoto State APC Leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko; Deputy Governor Idris Muhammed Gobir; former Deputy Governor Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo; Speaker Tukur Bala Bodinga; Deputy Speaker Kabir Ibrahim Kware; Member representing Gudu/Tangaza Federal Constituency, Sani Yakubu; members of the State Assembly; SSG Muhammad Bello Sifawa; Chief of Staff Aminu Haliru Dikko, mni; Head of Service Sulaiman S. Fulani Ahmadu; Ambassador Sahabi Isa Gada, mni; Wazirin Sokoto, Prof. Sambo Wali Junaid; State APC Chairman, Isa Saddiq Achida; and the Sokoto State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Musa.

Others in attendance included local government chairmen, commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, permanent secretaries, top government functionaries, ulamas, traditional rulers, politicians, members of the business community, and friends and relatives of the couples.
