Gangaren Dan Mallam Mai Siminti Community Hails Senator Wamakko Over Solar Streetlight Project

The community of Gangaren Dan Mallam Mai Siminti, under Sokoto South Local Government Area of Sokoto State, has expressed profound gratitude and excitement over the installation of a solar streetlight project facilitated by Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Speaking on behalf of residents, community leaders noted that the project has already begun to positively transform the area, particularly by improving nighttime visibility, enhancing security, and encouraging economic activities after dark.
According to them, traders, artisans, and small business owners can now operate with greater confidence and extended hours, leading to increased income and improved livelihoods.
They described the intervention as highly commendable, stressing that the provision of solar-powered lighting has addressed a long-standing challenge of darkness and insecurity in the area.
Residents further applauded the Sokoto State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto for complementing such efforts by installing similar solar streetlight projects across major streets in the state.

The community observed that the scale and consistency of these infrastructure projects are unprecedented, noting that for a long time, they had not witnessed such massive and deliberate efforts aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
They also lauded Senator Wamakko’s commitment to inclusive development, pointing out that the project is part of a broader, ongoing intervention across his senatorial district.
As promised by the senator, the solar streetlight initiative will be extended to other communities, with six towns in each of the eight local government areas within his constituency set to benefit.

Residents offered prayers for the senator and the state leadership, urging them to sustain the tempo of development projects that directly impact grassroots communities.
They reaffirmed their support and appreciation, describing the solar streetlight project as a clear demonstration of people-oriented leadership and continuity in service delivery.
