Newly Appointed SA On Youth Affairs Ministry Of Youth And Sports Resumes Office
Sokoto State has recorded another important milestone in the development of youth affairs, following the official resumption of duty by the newly appointed Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, on Youth Affairs in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hon. Kamaludden Abubakar Lemi.
The new Special Adviser was formally received by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Engr. Mustapha Muhammad Kofar Marke, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Hajiya Hadiza Galadima, as well as directors and other senior officials of the ministry, at the Commissioner’s office.
Speaking during the reception, the Commissioner expressed delight over the appointment and noted that the coming of Hon. Kamaludden Abubakar Lemi would further strengthen youth-focused policies and programmes of the ministry, particularly in the areas of sports development, skills acquisition, self-reliance, and the overall empowerment of young people in the state.
He assured that the ministry would provide full support to enable the Special Adviser to succeed in his assignment.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Hajiya Hadiza Galadima, welcomed the Special Adviser and expressed confidence that he would play a vital role in bridging the gap between the government and the youth, while offering valuable advice that would help the state government achieve its objectives in youth development.
In his response, Hon. Kamaludden Abubakar Lemi expressed gratitude to the Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to work tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of youths across the state and to contribute meaningfully to the goals of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
He also appreciated the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary for the warm reception, noting that it has further motivated him to discharge his duties with dedication and commitment.
The leadership of the ministry wished the Special Adviser success and assured him of their full cooperation in the discharge of his responsibilities.
The event was attended by top government officials, including the Chairman of Sokoto North Local Government Area, Alhaji Jamilu Umar Gosta, the State Chairman of Traders Association, Nasiru Italy, and other political stakeholders, who all wished the new Special Adviser success in his assignment.
