Sultan Sympathizes With Victims Of Old Market Fire Incident

His eminence the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar has expressed concern regarding the fire outbreak occurred at the Old Market in Sokoto last Sunday.

The Sultan who was ably represented by the Wazirin Sokoto , Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu during the condolence visit at the Place , described the incident as trail by the will of God .
He sympathized with the victims of the sad event and appealed on them to excercise patience as he prayed the best of what they have lost in return .
He noted that the market serves as a major source of livelihood for many residents in the state and Nigeria at larger .
Earlier, the Chairman of the Sokoto State Traders Association, Alhaji Chika Sarkin Gishiri, thanked the Sultan and his council members for their concern over the incident.
He explained that the fire destroyed shops and property worth millions of naira, though no life was lost.
The fire sparked out from a welding machine in use during repair work within the market as the cause of the incident.
