Aliyu Pledges Fresh Capital Boost for Sokoto Traders

Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has assured traders across the state of additional capital support to strengthen and expand their businesses.
The Governor gave the assurance during a special Iftar session with leaders and members of the State Traders Association held at the Presidential Lodge, Sokoto.
He disclosed that the new capital support would be rolled out after the completion of the ongoing renovation of the burnt section of the Sokoto Central Market, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to revitalising commercial activities in the state.
Governor Aliyu commended the traders for their patience, understanding and sustained support for his administration, noting that their cooperation has contributed significantly to the stability and growth of the state’s economy.
He explained that the Iftar gathering was organised to promote unity among traders and to seek divine blessings during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Governor further reassured them of his government’s resolve to embark on more developmental projects aimed at beautifying the state and improving the business environment.
In separate remarks, prominent traders’ leaders, including Alhaji Bello Bulaki, Alhaji Isah Maishinkafa and Malam Nafi’u Dan Haja, lauded the Governor for hosting the Iftar and for the various interventions supporting their businesses.
Also speaking, the State Chairman of the Traders Association, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Sarkin Gishiri, alongside the Chairman of the Youth Traders Association, Alhaji Bashar Nuhu Basha, and the Chairman of the Vegetables Sellers Association, Malam Muktar, commended the Governor for reclaiming the Sokoto Central Market and awarding the renovation contract.
