Aliyu Tasks New APC LG Executives on Party Consolidation in Sokoto

Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has called on newly elected Local Government Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to intensify efforts toward strengthening party unity and consolidating its structure across the state.
The governor made the call while monitoring the APC Local Government Congress in Sokoto South, Wamakko and Bodinga local government areas.

He expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and hitch-free conduct of the exercise, organised by the APC National Headquarters, and commended officials deployed to supervise the congress in the state.
Governor Aliyu lauded party leaders at the state and local government levels for their maturity and unity, which he said paved the way for the emergence of new executives through consensus.
He congratulated the newly elected officials and assured them of the state government’s support and cooperation in advancing the party’s programmes and objectives.
The Chairman of the Congress Committee from the APC National Headquarters, Haladu Jigawa, described the peaceful conduct of the congress as a clear reflection of unity among party members in Sokoto State. 
He noted that consensus remains the party’s adopted method for electing executives at all levels and commended Governor Aliyu for strengthening the party’s structure.
In his remarks, the State APC Chairman, Isah Sadiq Achida, described members of the party as one family and appreciated Governor Ahmad Aliyu and the State APC Leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, for fostering unity within the party.
The congress was conducted through consensus across all the 23 local government areas of the state.

In Sokoto South Local Government Area, Hayatu Muhammad emerged as Chairman, Hamza Atiku as Secretary and Mujitaba Bello as Treasurer. In Wamakko Local Government Area, Alhaji Umar Nabara was elected Chairman, Sani Aliyu as Secretary and Aliyu Malami as Treasurer.
Similarly, in Bodinga Local Government Area, Isah Aliyu emerged as Chairman, Umaru Aliyu Dingyadi as Secretary and Muktar Aliyu Danchadi as Treasurer.
