Another Award of Excellence Conferred on PWA Chairman

The Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto Chapter, has conferred an Award of Excellence on the Chairman of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of education and youth empowerment.

The award was presented during the Formal Orientation/Annual Lecture Ceremony organized by the Law Students' Society UDUS at the Faculty of Law Auditorium of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, Alhaji Aliyu Musa commended the Executive Council of the Law Students’ Society for organizing what he described as a highly significant programme as part of their Freshers’ Week activities. 

He noted that initiatives of such nature play a vital role in shaping the mindset, discipline, and professional orientation of aspiring legal practitioners.

The Chairman congratulated the newly admitted students on securing admission into the prestigious Faculty of Law, emphasizing that the study of law is not merely an academic pursuit but a commitment to justice, integrity, service, and the rule of law.

He further admonished them, as future legal practitioners, to embrace the responsibility of upholding fairness, defending the rights of the vulnerable, and contributing meaningfully to the development of society and the nation at large. 

He encouraged the students to remain dedicated to their studies, uphold high moral standards, and cultivate the virtues of discipline, patience, and hard work.

According to him, though the journey through legal education may be demanding, with focus and determination, it will undoubtedly be rewarding.
