Federal Lawmaker Jaji Alledges Penetration Of PDP Members At The Just Concluded Zamfara APC Wards, LGAs Congresses

Hon, Aminu Sani Jaji, of All Progressives Congress APC, representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency has alleged that some participants at the just concluded Zamfara APC Wards, LGAs congresses were members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties, undermining the party’s guidelines.
The lawmaker made the revelation today at a press conference held at his residence in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital, saying that the bonfied APC Members were denied access to exercise their civic right.
Jaji also alledged that, the committee sent from the national headquarters of the APC conspired with some members and other elements, thereby abusing the dignity of APC members in his constituency and Zamfara State at large.
“Some members were denied equal opportunity to participate in the party congresses at ward and local government levels, despite paying for nomination and expression of interest forms through party-designated accounts.
“Members approached the State Organising Secretary to obtain the forms but were denied. The State Organising Secretary pursued their complaints, but the National Financial Secretary and the National Chairman have not responded.”
Hon. Sani Jaji stressed that his supporters were concerned about the reported congress held without the participation of APC members, which he said contradicted the party’s constitution.
“We call on the National Chairman to address and cancel the congress. We also urge the National Working Committee to dissolve the State Working Committee in the interest of inclusivity and fairness.
“We appeal to His Excellency, the Minister of State for Defence and immediate past Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, as party leader in the state, in line with party tradition and rules, to intervene and save the party.
“We also urge the committee constituted by the President to reconcile APC members to intervene and resolve the lingering crisis in the state in order to avert a repeat of the 2019 incidents,” he concluded.
