FUG Host Community Presents Souvenir To The Outgoing VC For His Contribution To The Community

The Federal University Gusau host community has today presented a souvenirs to the outgoing vice chancellor of the University professor MG Abubakar.
The committee gave the vice chancellor a sheep and plaque in appreciation to the assistant rendered to them during his tenure as a vice chancellor.
Speaking on behalf of the host community malan Dahiru Muhammad Sabon gida described MG Abubakar as a man of integrity who cares about the masses.
"We are here before everybody to present this souvenirs on behalf of our community members to appreciate the developmental projects you have executed to our community.
According to him, during the five years tenure of MG Abubakar as Vice Chancellor, he paved way for their youth to secure job in the University which make their youth productive and self reliance.
" The Vice Chancellor also provided some hecters of land for farming to our community, and provided security network within our areas, similarly he also constructed two befitting boreholes to us.
Malan Dahiru added that, they have enjoyed during his five years tenure, and are ready to give him maximum support and cooperation when ever the need arises,
He however thanked the chief security officer of the FUG for his understanding with the host community,
" Before finishing my speech I must say a very big thank you to the governing council of the University, supporting staffs, students and all relevant stakeholders" he concluded.
Responding, the outgoing vice chancellor MG Abubakar, thanked the community leaders for recognizing him and presented a souvenir to him, urging them to cooperate with the incoming Vice Chancellor.
" I really appreciate your kind gesture, and insha Allahu I will never forget you people wherever I find myself, I am appealing to you to be extend the same support and cooperation to my successor. MG Abubakar said.
