FUGUS Vice Chancellor Delighted Over The Achievements Recorded During His Five Years Tenure

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Gusau, Professor Mu’azu Abubakar Gusau, has said that he was delighted over the support and cooperation given to him by University governing council and other stakeholders, when he decided to execute laudable projects during his five years tenure as Vice Chancellor of the University.
He made this known today in an interview with newsmen shortly after the paper presentation titled, Breaking the Silence: Understanding Prostate Health and Urinary Issues” organized by the College of Health Sciences, FUGUS, and presented by Zamfara State.
Gusau said that during his tenure as VC he established laudable projects that have direct bearing to the students of learning.
Professor Gusau described the establishment of the College of Health Sciences as a remarkable journey, noting that the initiative began quietly when many were not even aware of its existence.
“We started the College of Health Sciences when people were not even aware of it. We worked silently and steadily until the stage when admission could commence”
He however explained that, the maiden public lecture organized by the College was initially planned long before but was eventually adopted as part of activities celebrating his contributions to the growth of the university, particularly the successful establishment of the College of Health Sciences
He said, he has brought some level of development to ensure the University meet up with its contemporary in terms infrastructure and modern facilities to ensure conducive learning environment.
Professor MG Abubakar said, he initiated the establishment of college of health sciences in the University and ensure its completion and get accredited by relevant bodies for smooth take off with several departments being accredited.
He further stated that the college of health sciences is one of the best in this part of the country,he said the various developmental projects,he initiated and the ones he completed are part of his contribution to educational goals of the institution.
