Sokoto United Football Club recorded an impressive victory over Doma United Football Club with a narrow 1–0 win in a match played today at the Giginya Memorial Stadium in Sokoto.
Sokoto United’s player, Kamal Jibril, scored the decisive goal through a well-taken penalty kick, calmly sending the ball into Doma United’s net and bringing great excitement to the club’s supporters.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the match, the Permanent Secretary of the Sokoto State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hajiya Hadiza Galadima, expressed her delight over the team’s victory. She stated that Sokoto United will continue striving for success in their upcoming matches, by the grace of God.
Hajiya Hadiza Galadima further noted that the Sokoto State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dr. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, will continue to provide full support for youth and sports development across the state in order to promote sustainable progress at all times.
She also commended the players for their outstanding performance and expressed confidence that they will continue to record more victories in the future, God willing.
