SOSG Assures Of Support To The 23 Local Government Councils In The Discharge Of Their Duties

Local Goverment council had been assured of support and cooperation in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The chairman local Goverment service Commission sokoto Alhaji Ahmed Barade Wamakko gave the assurance while receiving an award of presented to him by the local Goverment Staff Officer Forum of the state today.
Alhaji Ahmed Barade who was represented by permanent commissioner 1, of the commission Alhaji Abubakar Attahiru for their said the commission will continue performing its primary responsibilities of training and re- training of Local Goverment employees to boost their capacity.
He thanked the forum for recognising their efforts in manpower development at the local Goverment levels by presenting this award.

In his speech, the commission permanent secretary, Alhaji Aminu Abubakar Rijia commended the presentation which he said is the first of its kind from the local Goverment Staff.

He them called on them to be more responsive in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Earlier speaking, the forum chairman who is also the staff officer Goronyo local Goverment Alhaji Umar Durumbu Yakubu said, the forum decided to honour the commission chairman and permanent secretary for their selfless service, commitment and determination to improve the proper training, guidance and support.
He thanked the present leadership of the commission for ensuring that local Goverment employees obtained the required knowledge to perform deligently.
The short ceremony which was performed at the commission premises was graced by  all the permanent commissioners and principal officers of the commission.
