SSEIC's CHAIRMAN, COMMISSIONERS READY TO SERVE, HON. LIMAN GANDE

It has been observed that all the nominees screened and confirmed as Chairman and Commissioners Sokoto State Independent Electoral Commission demostrated competence, integrity and ready to serve Chairman State House of Assembly Committee on Public Service Matters, Hon Atiku Liman Gande made this known while presenting his Report before the House.
He added that, the committee while screening the nominees satisfied that they met the required standards'.
The lawmaker who Represents Silame Constituency said 'the Committee has unanimously recommended their confirmation'.
He said they include: dr. Ibrahim Usman as Chairman of the Commission while Shehu T Abubakar, Mallam Babangida Y. Ahmad and Abubakar Chika Yabo would serve as Commissioners.
The rest are: Hon. Bello Hali Wurno, Hon. Kasimu Umar Silame and Malam Aliyu Adamu K.
The Legislator told the House that, the committee believes that confirming these nominees will strengthen the independence of state electoral commission, enhance public confidence and ensure credible local government elections'.
In a related development, Chairman Committee On House Services, Ethics AndPriviledges, Hon Kabiru Ibrahim has presented his report on the screening of Chairman and Permanent Commissioners State House of Assembly Service Commission.
They are Suleman Sarkin Fulani Ahmadu as Chairman with Mohammed Dahiru Salihu, Bello Salihu Tambuwal and Abubakar Mode More as Permanent Commissioners.
The Chairman of the Committee who is also Deputy Speaker of the House also mentioned Hon Bello Buba and Abdullahi Hassan Yabo as rest of the Permanent Commissioners in the Commission.
The House later considered and approved Chairmen of the State Electoral Commission and their respective Commissioners.
