Aliyu Calls for Greater Synergy Among Three Arms of Government

The Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, has advocated stronger collaboration among the three arms of government in the state to enhance good governance and accelerate development.
The governor made the call during a Special Iftar session with members of the State House of Assembly and the Judiciary at the Presidential Lodge, Sokoto.
He urged lawmakers and judicial officers to put aside political differences and continue to work collectively in the interest of the state, stressing that unity among the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary was vital for sustainable progress.
Governor Aliyu expressed satisfaction with the cordial working relationship existing among the three arms under his administration, noting that such cooperation had strengthened democratic governance in the state.
He assured the Legislature and Judiciary of his continued support and cooperation, emphasizing that his administration would respect the principle of separation of powers and would not interfere in the discharge of their constitutional duties.
In separate remarks, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, and the State Chief Judge, Justice Sa’idu Muhammad Sifawa, commended the governor for his inclusive leadership style and sustained support to their respective arms of government.
They described the Iftar gathering as unique and timely, noting that it provided an avenue for deeper engagement and unity among the three arms of government.
The event was attended by top government functionaries, including the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff, Government House, and the Senior Special Assistant on Administration and Legal Matters, among others.
