SOZEA Recieves 10 M, 100 Bundles Of Clothes From Baba Alu To Be Distributed To The Underprivileged Persons
The Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Agency (SOZEA) has received a generous donation of 100 bundles of clothes and a cash assistance of ₦10,000,000 from Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, popularly known as Baba Alu. The donation is intended to benefit ten thousand underprivileged individuals, particularly orphans, to enable them celebrate the forthcoming Sallah with joy and relative ease.
According to the distinguished senator, the gesture was aimed at supporting the less privileged members of society, especially orphans, so that they can partake in the happiness and blessings associated with the Sallah celebration.
While receiving the donation at the senator’s Gawon Nama residence, the Executive Chairman of SOZEA, Malam Muhammad Lawal Maidoki (Sadaukin Sakkwato), expressed deep appreciation and offered prayers to Almighty Allah to abundantly reward the donor for his generosity and compassion towards the needy.
Malam Maidoki further noted that the gesture did not come as a surprise, describing Senator Wamakko as a renowned philanthropist and a compassionate leader whose kindness consistently reaches vulnerable members of the Ummah both within Sokoto State and beyond.
Special prayers were later offered by the Murshid of the agency, seeking Allah’s blessings and continued guidance for the donor and the successful distribution of the items to deserving beneficiaries.
The Executive Chairman was accompanied during the visit by the Deputy Director of Zakat and Waqf Distribution, Aliyu Ibrahim Kyautawa, and Principal Assistant, Faruk Umar Torankawa.
