Maina Community Service Initiative Youth Leader Declares Aspiration For Gusau 1 Constituency Seat

Umar Mahmud a youths leader of Maina Community Service Initiative in Zamfara state has declared his intention to contest for Gusau 1 Constituency Seat in the forth coming 2027 general elections.

He made the declaration today while briefing newsmen for his declaration of aspiration for Gusau 1 Constituency Seat.
Umar Mahmud said, he decided to join the race considering the impact brought to zamfara State under his initiative,

"He said, My name is Umar Mahmud, a proud son of Zamfara State born in the 1990s, bred, raised, and nurtured in Gusau. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Education, and I had the honour of serving my fatherland during my national service in Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State.


" For nearly a decade, I have dedicated my life to teaching the English language, mentoring students and young people in leadership and public speaking, and contributing actively to humanitarian, development, and peace building efforts across Zamfara State.

 " Through these efforts, we have positively impacted over 10,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries.Our commitment, expertise, and resilience have not only delivered results but have also positioned Zamfara State as a credible partner in the development space. 

"Over the years, we have successfully attracted reputable development partners, secured strategic grants, and built high-level collaborations that continue to benefit our communities.

"Our constituency, Gusau I, is widely recognized as the most peaceful, inclusive, and competitive constituency in the state, home to indigenes and Nigerians of diverse backgrounds. Above all, it is defined by a vibrant, united youth population whose numerical strength and political consciousness consistently shape electoral outcomes. 

The youth leader further hinted that if he was given the mandate to serve his people, he will continue to provide devident of Democracy, youth empowerment, education, skills acquisition among others.

He however endorsed Governor Dauda Lawal for second term.
