Senator Wamakko Distributes 101 Electric Scooters To APC Loyalists In Sokoto

His Excellency, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, representing Sokoto Central Senatorial Zone, has distributed 101 electric scooters to APC local government youth and women leaders, as well as ward youth leaders across his constituency.
The initiative is part of his continued commitment to grassroots empowerment and one of several programmes aimed at improving community welfare, enhancing mobility, and promoting environmentally friendly and sustainable transportation.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, the APC Financial Secretary, Alhaji Nasiru Italy, described the gesture as a reflection of the senator’s unwavering commitment to carrying all party stakeholders along in governance and development.
He called on party members and supporters to continue to rally around the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu in order to ensure the delivery of more democratic dividends to the people of Sokoto State.
Also speaking, the APC Deputy Chairman in Sokoto State, Alhaji Yahaya Buhari Siriddawa, described Senator Wamakko as a father, mentor, and leader who consistently prioritizes the welfare of his constituents. He noted that such empowerment initiatives have become a regular feature of the senator’s leadership style.
According to him, the distribution of electric scooters will significantly support mobility for youth and women leaders, improve their efficiency in party activities, and enhance grassroots political coordination across the eight local government areas in the zone.
Beneficiaries of the gesture expressed appreciation to the senator, describing him as a compassionate leader committed to the welfare of his people. They also offered prayers for Allah’s continued guidance, protection, and strength for the senator.
The mini ceremony was held at Senator Wamakko’s residence in the Gawon Nama area of Sokoto and was attended by Some members of the State Assembly in the zone, local government APC chairmen and executive chairmen, as well as the party leaders across the zone.
The empowerment programme aligns with growing efforts to encourage cleaner energy alternatives and reduce dependence on fuel-powered transportation among youth mobilizers in the state.
