SOSG Committed Towards Welfare Of Orphans



The current administration of governor Ahmed Aliyu says it will remains committed towards improving the wellbeing of Orphans at the state Orphanages.

 State Commissioner for social welfare and Humanitarian affairs Honourable Asabe Balarabe gave the assurance while receiving a report of  inter agency committee on orphanage welfare and discipline set up recently by the ministry.

Honourable Asabe Balarabe commended the committee for its tireless effort in coming up with vital recommendations which if properly implemented assist greatly toward improving and protecting the lives of orphans in the state.

This according to her was part of the Ahmed Aliyu's administration desire to cater the needs of orphans.

To this end the commissioner promised to carefully study all the recommendations contained in the committee's report for the attainment of the set objectives.

 Hajiya Asabe Balarabe added that the committee was set up with a view to develop, strengthen, and implement structured measures aimed at promoting discipline, safeguarding and improving the welfare standard of Orphans across the state.

 She said the committee members  were comprises, Police, DSS , Judiciary, Human Rights, Hisbah Board, Ministry of Religious Affairs as well as the office of Specia Adviser on Domestic Affairs Among other stakeholders.

 The hending over of the committee report which was held ithe  commissioner's office was attended by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Salihu Muhammad Galadanci as well as Directors of the ministry and other members of the committee.
