Governor Ahmad Aliyu has said Sokoto State is currently ranked as the best in promoting religious activities in Nigeria, attributing the feat to deliberate policies and sustained support for religious institutions.

Aliyu explained that his administration’s efforts in upgrading mosques and providing regular support to imams, their deputies and muezzins were key factors behind the recognition.
