2026 Hajji Operations: Sokoto PWA Inaugurate Four Committees For Smooth Operation.

Four committees have been inaugurated to ensure the smooth operation of this year’s Hajj exercise both within the state and in the Holy Land.

The committees are Screening and Flight Schedule, Security, Welfare, and Transportation.
Speaking during the inauguration at the Sultan Maccido Institute for Qur’an and General Studies in Sokoto, the State Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, urged members to work collectively to ensure the success of the exercise. 

He congratulated them on their selection and assured them of full support to carry out their responsibilities without hindrance.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, and the Permanent Secretary of the agency, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar, explained that members were selected based on merit. 

They noted that about eighty percent of the committee members have prior experience in Hajj operations.

Meanwhile, the Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi, alongside members of the delegation, conducted an inspection visit to the Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Hajj Terminal at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto. 

He expressed satisfaction with the level of work being carried out to prepare the facility ahead of the Hajj operation scheduled to commence on  eleventh of this month.

Other members of the delegation during the visit included the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Sifawa; the Chief of Staff, Government House Sokoto, Alhaji Aminu Haliru Dikko; Magajin Rafin Sokoto, Alhaji Rilwanu Bello; SSA and PA to the Governor, Alhaji Husaini Gorau; and businessman, Alhaji Bello Bulaki, among others.
