Hajj 2026:- Sokoto PWA Set Up Tents Media Center In Minna

By Aminu Suleman

With the 2026 Hajj approaching, Sokoto State is moving early to make sure its pilgrims have a smooth experience once they arrive in Saudi Arabia.

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency’s Committee on Arafat and Minna has just finished allocating tents for intending pilgrims in Minna.
The goal is simple: no last-minute scramble, no confusion, just an organized setup so pilgrims can focus on the spiritual journey ahead.
“It’s about getting the basics right,” one committee member said. “If people know where they’re sleeping and have a place secured, half the stress of Hajj is already gone.”

At the same time, the 2026 Hajj Media and Publicity Committee has set up a State Media Centre in Minna.

The centre will serve as the hub for updates, photos, and coverage of Sokoto pilgrims throughout the exercise. For families back home in Sokoto, it means they’ll get timely information and see how their loved ones are faring during the pilgrimage.
According to Faruku Umar, Head of Information and Communications for the Pilgrims Welfare Agency, the agency is keeping welfare, comfort, and coordination as top priorities.

“We remain committed to making sure every Sokoto pilgrim is well taken care of from departure to return,” he said in a statement.

With tents assigned and a media centre in place, Sokoto’s preparations are already ahead of the curve.
For the thousands of intending pilgrims from the state, it’s a sign that this year’s Hajj is shaping up to be well-organized and hitch-free.
