POLICE FOIL BANDITS’ ATTACK IN TSAFE LGA, NEUTRALIZE ONE SUSPECT




The Zamfara State Police Command has recorded another operational success following the foiling of a bandits’ attack at Gidan Fulani Village under Yandoto Area in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.

On 22nd May, 2026, at about 0800hrs, a group of armed bandits armed with RPGs and AK-47 rifles invaded the community with the intention of carrying out criminal activities.

 Police operatives on duty, in collaboration with courageous members of the community, swiftly responded and engaged the assailants in a gun duel, leading to the neutralization of one of the bandits, while others escaped into the nearby bush with possible gunshot wounds.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello, PSC+, MNIPS, commended the gallantry, resilience, and professionalism displayed by the police operatives and members of the community during the operation. 

He further reassured the good people of Zamfara State of the Command’s unwavering commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against banditry and other violent crimes across the state.

The CP also urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with timely and credible information that will aid ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
