Muslims across Sokoto State on Friday offered special prayers to commemorate the third anniversary of Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s administration, seeking divine guidance, peace and continued progress for the state.

The prayer sessions, organized by the Sokoto State Ministry for Religious Affairs, were held in designated mosques across the state as part of activities marking the governor’s three years in office.
Clerics and worshippers prayed for sustained peace, unity and prosperity in Sokoto State and Nigeria, while also seeking Allah’s guidance and protection for Governor Ahmed Aliyu as his administration enters its final year.

The prayers also focused on the success of the administration’s programmes and the governor’s future political aspirations ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
At the Aliyu Magatakarda Mosque along Bodinga Road in Sokoto metropolis, prominent personalities who attended the prayer session included former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Deputy Governor Idris Muhammad Gobir, members of the State Executive Council and other senior government officials.

Religious leaders urged residents to continue supporting government efforts aimed at promoting development, stability and good governance across the state.

The special prayer sessions form part of the regular monthly prayers observed at designated mosques in Sokoto State for peace, security and progress.
