Sokoto Pilgrims Head to Minna as Agency Chairman Monitors Movement for 2026 Hajj
Sokoto State pilgrims have begun moving to Minna for the start of the 2026 Hajj exercise, with the Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, on ground to oversee the process.
Musa inspected transportation arrangements and coordinated the movement today to ensure pilgrims travel safely and comfortably. He said the agency’s priority was to avoid delays and address any logistical issues before the main Hajj rites begin.
Addressing the pilgrims, he urged them to remain prayerful, law-abiding, and to follow all guidelines issued by officials throughout the journey and during the pilgrimage.
The movement to Minna marks the first major leg of Sokoto’s 2026 Hajj operations. Agency officials said more batches will be conveyed in the coming days under similar arrangements.
“The goal is a smooth, hitch-free exercise for every pilgrim from Sokoto,” Musa stated.
The statement was Signed by the Faruku Umar, Head of Information and Communications, Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Sokoto.
