Sokoto Pilgrims Spend the Night at Muzdalifah as Hajj Rites Continue
From Aminu Suleiman
MUZDALIFAH — After leaving Mount Arafat, Sokoto State pilgrims have arrived in Muzdalifah to continue the 2026 Hajj rites.
Many spent the night resting in the open field under the stars, while others remained in prayer and reflection on the significance of the journey. Pilgrims also used the time to collect pebbles for the symbolic stoning of the devil ritual set to take place in Mina.
Despite the large crowds, the atmosphere remained orderly. Pilgrims stayed focused on their spiritual obligations and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to complete the Arafat rite and move to the next stage of Hajj.
