The operation unfolded on May 23, 2026, around 10:00 AM, when intelligence reached the unit about criminal activity in the area. Officers moved quickly, raiding multiple locations including Kano Road, Runjim Sambo, Gidan Dare, and Gidan Man Ada.

The first arrest was Yahuza Abubakar of Darna Village in Wamakko LGA. During interrogation, he confessed to stealing a red Kasea motorcycle and selling it to an accomplice.

Police recovered both motorcycles from Abdullahi and took him into custody. Two master keys believed to have been used in the thefts were also seized during the raids.

Investigators say they are probing whether the suspects are connected to other motorcycle thefts in the region. All three remain in custody and will be charged once investigations are concluded.
