GORONYO HOSPITAL RENOVATION FOR COMPLETION THIS MONTH

Contractor handling total renovation of Goronyo General Hospital has assured Sokoto State House of Assembly Committee on Health of speedy completion of the work. Speaking when the Committee visited the hospital on Over sight Function, Representative of the Contractor, Sanusi Aminu Aliyu said 'we will not fail the state government on the contractual agreement. 

He said 'we would also execute quality work, adding that, 'that is why government entrusted and awarded the contract to us'.

Speaking to news men after the inspection 
of all the sections and Units of the Hospital, Chairman House Committee on Health, Hon. Kabiru Dauda Tsitse expressed satisfaction of the works so far done.

 The Director Planning state ministry of health, Alhaji Basiru Bello told the Committee that it is one of the hospitals promised to be renovated by Governor Ahmad Aliyu's administration as part of his 9-point agenda. 

The Supervising Engineer in the ministry, Murtala Haliru Rabah said the contract was awarded six months ago and only one month remains to complete it.

North lg where the Chairman inspected on going renovation of the health institute.

He urged the contractor to continue to execute quality work and hailed Governor Ahmad Aliyu for his efforts in reviving health sector in the state. 

At Wurno General Hospital, the Chairman of the Committee has this to say 'the contractor must appear before the committee on Tuesday 16 June 2026 in the house of assembly complex.

He said we observe some problems in the execution of the contract when we visited the hospital and we have not met the contractor's representative.
