Hisbah Raids 3 Sokoto Hotels, Arrests 16 During ‘Operation

Sokoto State Hisbah Board carried out raids at three major hotels in Sokoto metropolis on yesterday Sunday evening, arresting 16 people, male and female
  
The operation covered Pinnacle Hotel, Duniya Hotel, and Ifoma Hotel in the city center. Hisbah officials said the raids were conducted to enforce public morality and curb activities contrary to Shari’a.
The exercise was led by Imam Surajo Abubakar, Acting Commander of Sokoto State Hisbah. According to the board, the operation falls under 'Operation Tsaftace Birnin Shehu’, a statewide campaign to sanitise the environment and uphold moral standards.
All 16 suspects were taken into custody for further investigation and counseling. Hisbah added that the raids will continue across other hotels and guest houses in the state.
The board urged hotel operators to comply with regulations and report suspicious activities.
