IGP, Zamfara CP, Governor Dauda Lawal Attend Funeral Of Three Police Officers Killed While Defusing IED on Anka–Bagega Road

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan-Disu on Tuesday attended the funeral of three officers killed by an improvised explosive device in Zamfara State. The blast occurred Monday along the Anka–Bagega road when the police team moved to detonate an IED planted by suspected bandits.
The funeral prayer, led by CSP Suleiman Alhassan Haruna at the Zamfara Police Command Headquarters in Gusau, was attended by Governor Dauda Lawal, represented by SSG Mallam Abubakar Nakwada.
The fallen officers are, OC EOD SP Abdulrazak Musa Hassan, Inspector Auwal Ahmad, and Inspector Murtala Musa who died in the line of duty while serving and protecting the nation. Zamfara CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello said.
CP Bello described their loss as “immeasurable,” praising their “exceptional courage and professionalism” at the forefront of service.
Speaking shortly after the funeral prayer governor Dauda Lawal who was represented by the secretary to the state government (SSG) Muhamef Nakwada called their deaths “a testament to their patriotism and devotion to duty,” extending condolences to their families and the police service while pledging that “their sacrifice will not be in vain.”
