Sokoto Education Commissioner Urges Parents/Guardians To Send Their Wards To School




 Sokoto State Government has called on parents and guardians to ensure students resume classes immediately after the Eid-el-Kabir break. 
  
Prof. Ahmad Ladan Ala, Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, chaired a high-level management meeting at the Ministry headquarters on Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. Reports from monitoring teams showed many students across the state had not returned to school.

The meeting had Dr. Sanusi Aliyu Binji, Permanent Secretary, directors, and heads of agencies/parastatals under the Ministry in attendance.
  
Reacting to the reports, Prof. Ala urged parents to send their children and wards back to school promptly. He said regular attendance is critical to achieving the state government’s goal of improving educational outcomes and maintaining academic standards.

The Commissioner also led discussions on strategies to enhance teaching, learning, monitoring, and overall school performance. After the briefing, Ministry teams were deployed statewide to continue supervision of schools and education institutions.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to effective service delivery, improved school management, and full implementation of education policies across Sokoto State.
