Sokoto Hisbah Arrests 26 Men, Women in Major Raid Across 5 Locations

The Sokoto State Hisbah Commission on Thursday, recorded a major success in a raid carried out across five locations in Sokoto metropolis, arresting 26 men and women.  

The areas raided include Nakasari, Hubbare, Offer Road, Sokoto Central Motor Park, and Giginya Hotel.  
The operation was conducted under the leadership of the State Commandant of Hisbah, Malam Usman Abdullahi Jatau. It was carried out under the codename: OPERATION TSAFTACE BIRNIN SHEHU meaning “Operation Clean Shehu City”.  

The Hisbah Commission said the raid was part of ongoing efforts to enforce moral conduct and sanitize the state capital in line with its mandate.  
Details on the specific offenses of those arrested and next steps were not immediately disclosed.
