Sokoto PWA Announces June 11 For The Return Of Sokoto Pilgrims



The first batch of Sokoto State pilgrims will depart Saudi Arabia for Nigeria on Wednesday, June 11, 2026, the Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced.

Return schedule confirmed 
Alhaji Aliyu Musa, Chairman PWA Sokoto, broke the news on Tuesday. 

He said arrangements for the maiden return flight have been finalized and the agency is working with airline and Saudi authorities to ensure a smooth operation.
 
Alhaji Musa urged the first set of pilgrims to remain patient and follow all PWA guidelines ahead of departure. He assured families back home that the agency is prioritizing the safety, comfort, and orderly return of all Sokoto pilgrims.

The PWA is expected to release flight details and airport arrival times as the date approaches. Subsequent flights will follow based on NAHCON’s schedule.

Families of pilgrims can start making travel arrangements to welcome their loved ones home.
