Sokoto PWA Refunds 100 Saudi Riyals Hadaya Excess To Pilgrims

From Aminu Suleiman

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency wishes to inform all pilgrims who paid for Hadaya through the Hadaya Committee that a refund of 100 Saudi Riyals has been approved and is currently being disbursed.

The Secretary of the Hadaya Committee, Alhaji Sirajo Bello Sifawa, explained that the refund followed a successful negotiation that reduced the cost of the Hadaya ram by 100 Saudi Riyals.

According to him, the committee initially collected 650 Saudi Riyals from each pilgrim for the Hadaya exercise. However, following negotiations with suppliers, the price was reduced to 550 Saudi Riyals per ram, resulting in an excess of 100 Saudi Riyals per pilgrim.

Alhaji Sirajo Bello Sifawa therefore called on all affected pilgrims to contact their respective Assistant Hajj Registration Officers to collect their refunds.

The agency appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all pilgrims and remains committed to transparency and accountability in all Hajj operations.

The statement was Signed and Issued to newsmen by Faruku Umar Head of Information and Communications Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Sokoto
