SULTAN NEEDS  FRSC TO COLLABORATE WITH NDLEA AGAINST DRUG DRIVING

 His eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has expressed need of fully collaboration between the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to eliminate drunk and reckless driving on the Nigerian roads . 

 The statement was made by the  Sultan while recieving the
Zonal Commanding Officer of FRSC, and members  of his entourage who paid him a courtesy visit at his Palace in Sokoto recently. 

I think that Federal Road safety  Corps needs to collaborate fully with the  NDLEA to ensure that most drivers especially  the long distance drivers are quit Sane before they could drive out with the People in their vehicles.The Sultan Said .

 He explained that also , the issue of
overloading and mixed loading, are worrisome which cause road accidents  across the nation.

 According to him,  we don't need people using drugs or narcotics  before they could drive to become danger to human beings. 

He urged  the FRSC to strengthen its enforcement efforts against traffic violations so that to minimize  rate of injuries  on the roads.

He described the Road safety corps as  very important organization for Nigerians that's why we always keep on supporting them, the little we can .

Earlier,  the Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Shoba  Akande said they were  at  Palace  to formally introduce himself as the 24th Zonal Commanding Officer of RS10 Headquarters, which oversees Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, as well  as to seek the Sultan’s royal blessings, guidance and support.

He described the Sultan as a highly respected leader and father figure whose influence extends beyond Nigeria’s borders, adding that his counsel would be invaluable in the discharge of his responsibilities.
