Sokoto PWA Announces Monday 11/05/26 For State's Intending Pilgrims To Depart To Saudi Arabia

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced that the first batch of intending pilgrims from Sokoto State will depart for the 2026 Hajj exercise on Monday, May 11, 2026.

The Permanent Secretary of the Agency, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar JJ, disclosed this today during a live phone-in programme, Sakkatawa Kwallahiya, on Vision FM.

Alhaji Ibrahim Umar JJ confirmed that the Agency has successfully secured visas for all 2,404 intending pilgrims from Sokoto State. 

He further stated that all pilgrims have completed the mandatory medical screenings as required by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

On accommodation arrangements, the Permanent Secretary added that befitting accommodation has been secured for the pilgrims at Masfala District, in close proximity to the Haram in Makkah, to ensure their comfort and ease of worship.

The Agency reassures all pilgrims and their families of its commitment to a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
